H&G Spotlight Employee: Germain Gulevic. 1.How
long have you worked for Horton and Garton? Almost
a year now and it’s flown by! 2.Where
did you grow up and what did you do before H&G? I grew up in Lithuania
and started working in the property sector after graduating from university
with a degree in property management. From
2005 I worked for a property management company before moving to H&G, so
it’s been pretty much property property and more
property for me- no crazy jobs as a zoo keeper or anything I’m afraid! 3.Funniest Horton and Garton moment? We have recently
hired three new members of staff at H&G and the interviews took place in
the downstairs of our office. Whilst the interviews were going on, loud
giggles and laughs could be heard drifting up the stairs. The laughs turned
out to be contagious and soon the whole office was giggling away. Who said
job interviews should be serious and boring? 4.Favourite film? Magnolia- written, produced and directed by Paul Thomas
Anderson who I’m a big fan of. 5.Which
(if any) sports teams do you support? Lithuania’s swimming team is the team I
follow most closely, particularly Ruta Meilutyte. Now based in Plymouth, at 16 he won Olympic
gold and set a new world record for 100m breaststroke in 2013. 6.Favourite band/artist, album, and song? Kings and Queens by 30 seconds to Mars
would have to be my favourite song, with my favourite album being the album it’s taken from and 30
STM my favourite band. I’m a big fan! 7.Favourite food? Any Asian cuisine- be that Thai,
Chinese or Japanese. We are very lucky to have lots of Asian restaurants and
cafes close to the office so lunch is always a treat. 8.What
do you like doing outside of work? Any hobbies? I am very interested in the arts and
history, you’ll usually be able to find me in a gallery, museum or theatre
come the weekend – London has a lot to offer! I also enjoy swimming and
kayaking when I can find the time. 9.Best
thing about working at Horton and Garton? First and
foremost Horton and Garton is made up of a great
team of people; the camaraderie and atmosphere in the office always feels
like you’re part of a big happy family which is great. For me this is something
which I have found to be very rare in the world of work, so this is
definitely my favourite thing about working for
Horton and Garton. Posted on 5th Aug,
